Map Display Size This is the display size. This is the size in pixels that the map will cover on the computer screen. Make your size selection by selecting a value then the map will automaticall redraw to the new size.
Data Layers The larger the area that you are viewing when you turn on extra layers, the longer it will take to redraw the map. Recommend that you zoom in to the area you want and then turn on the extra layers.

The [-] to the left of the name indicates that the "layer group" or "layer legend" is open and all the layers or "layer legends" are shown. Click on this [-] and the layers or "layer legends" will disappear and only the "layer group name" or "layer name" will be listed.The symbol will change from [-] to [+].

The [+] to the left of the name indicates that the "layer group" or "layer legend" is closed and all the layers or "layer legends" are hidden. Click on this [+] and the layers or "layer legends" will appear and the "layer name" or "layer legend" will be listed. The symbol will change from [+] to [-].

Add Layers Select the layers you wish to add by putting a check in the box next to the desired layer and then click the "Update" button. This will redraw the map and add the new layers you selected
Reference Map Panning You can move to different areas with the detail map by clicking on a point on the reference map. Clicking on a point or location on the reference map will center the main display map at that point.
Tool Buttons The toolbar buttons give you access to more information about the map and the selected map location (city, county, state, etc). The buttons enable you to navigate within the map, get data about a location, and get help.
Pan

Pan

This tool lets you view different parts of the map.

Instructions:
  1. Click the "Pan" button.
  2. Position the cursor over the part of the map you would like to see.
  3. Click the mouse to center on that location.
  4. Click and hold down the mouse key and then drag the mouse to pan the map.
  5. The map will be redrawn to show the new area.

Compass Point

This is one of eight compass points.

Instructions:
  1. Click on one of the eight compass points.
  2. The map will be redrawn to show the location under the clicked compass point to be in the center of the new area.
Zoom In

Zoom In

This tool lets you view part of the map in greater detail.

Instructions:
  1. Click the "Zoom In" button.
  2. Position the cursor over the part of the map you would like to see in greater detail.
  3. Click the mouse.
  4. The map will be redrawn to show more detail.
  5. You can also create a zoom box by clicking and holding the mouse key, then dragging the mouse to create a box around the area that you want to view.

This tool lets you view a larger area with less detail.

Instructions:
  1. Click the "Zoom Out" button.
  2. The map will be redrawn to show a larger area.
View Full Map

Zoom Out

This tool lets you zpoom out to the entire map.

Instructions:
  1. Click the "View Full Map" button.
  2. The map will be redrawn to show all of the area.
Get Info From Map

Zoom Out

This tool gets you information about any specific ASOS or CO-OP Station on the map.

Instructions:
  1. Click the "Get Info from Map" button.
  2. Position the cursor over the station(Red or Blue Star)you would like information on.
  3. Click the mouse.
  4. A pop-up window will appear showing the information.

  5. Note: Information is not available for areas not identified as ASOS or CO-OP station.
    If you click close to a ASOS or CO-OP station, it will select the closest station.
    If you do not click on or near a ASOS or CO-OP station, a message will indicate that you are not on a selectable location.
